It costs the equivalent of $20 to wash a small dog, $33 for medium size, rising to $47 for the largest customers. Cats can also be catered for - at the small-dog price.

French duo Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann of Zim & Zou studio used such leather remnants to create amazing window displays for the Hermès stores in Shanghai and in Barcelona. The hand-made animal sculptures are intricately crafted from hundreds of leather offcuts from Hermès workshops in Paris. The Shanghai window displays were related to air, water and earth. The Barcelona one is named fox's den.

Italian photorealism artist, Roberto Bernardi (born in 1974) started his first works in oils in the first half of the eighties. In 1993 after graduating from high school, Roberto moved to Rome where he worked as a painting restorer at the church of San Francesco a Ripa. Since 1994 he decided to devote himself to the creation of photorealism paintings, a movement born in America in the seventies.

They are competing for sacred sticks at the Hadaka Matsuri ("Naked Festival") which is one of the three most eccentric festivals of Japan. Nine thousand almost fully naked men wearing only loincloths (called fundoshi) shouting out 'Wasshoi! Wasshoi!' and struggling fiercely over a pair of lucky sacred sticks (ofuda) measuring 4 cm in diameter and 20 cm in length. Precisely at midnight, the lights are turned off, the sacred sticks are thrown into the crowd, and the vehement rush to grab the sticks starts. Even if someone is lucky enough to get hold of the sacred sticks, they are quickly snatched away by others, almost like a rugby game. Spectators usually crowd around the participants within the precincts of the shrine to experience all the thrills and excitement of the action. But if you wish to look on safely, there are seats available, though you have to pay for them.

I'm sure that many of you, as soon as they read the title, would think that the article is about weirdo sex. No, it is not. It is totally a scientific issue in animal mating. The strange fact is that males of many mammals sniff or taste the urine of females to test if they are in estrus and the female is fertile before mating. It is believed that mammal females produce pheromones that come out with urine as soon as ovulation is complete to signal males of the right time of mating. Female giraffes, for example, go into estrus every two weeks throughout the year. When a female is in estrus, she excretes pheromones that let the males know that she is ready to mate. The male nudges her rear end with his nose to encourage her to release urine for him to taste and see if she is fertile. One study concluded that at least 30% of human females can detect ovulation pheromones in women.

Despite the fact that there are medical operations to partially correct this problem, there are also emotional consequences arising out of self-doubt about their appearance. Jono even admits that it took him more than twenty years to fall in love with his face, so he is now trying to teach children with TCS to love their selves.

This was a suspense scene from the 2008 British drama film Slumdog Millionaire, which has been set and filmed in India.
